"We stayed at Grandeau Thermal Spa Resort on the 16th–17th of May and unfortunately left feeling quite disappointed overall. "The staff were very helpful and gave clear information. Room was modern and very clean with great amenities including a teapot which made me happy. Only issue was in Room 10 the shower head kept moving over to one side and needs a little maintenance. Other than that, I would stay there again. Affordable, clean, tidy and easy."

"I made a last minute booking for one night as the motel I'd originally booked didn't work for me. Given the price was lower than the motel, I was pleasantly surprised at what was on offer. If you are in the UK think Premier Inn with kitchenette with washer and dryer. Perfect!"

But honestly, the hotel itself just felt like a basic room for a very high price. I really don’t understand why many hotels in New Zealand lack simple standard amenities that are common in Asia.
