"Beautiful location, interesting concept, clean, responsive to my inquiries. A little run down, the sink faucet and bed side table lamp were broken."

"The property was as expected.. quite nice.. But on sunny days the sun beats down on the inside & it gets quite hot.... ... so roll the shade down for sunny days. The in floor heating was very slow in getting up to temp.. .. the provided space heater helped."

Northern Light Inn

Northern Light Inn

8/10 Good
"The concierge was outstanding and the room was as well appointed with high end L’Occitaine shower products. Dinner was wonderful at Max’s. Breakfast was just okay with very basic fruit, plain crepes, and a lack of variety in the offerings. The thermostat in the rooms were set to 75 degrees, far too warm for a restful sleep. The spa was acceptable however there was no hot spring or complimentary access to the Blue Lagoon next door. It was exciting to be staying on the sight of a volcanic powered geothermal plant. The Grindavik magma field is directly out of our hotel window. If the breakfast is improved and room service added along with a plunge pool or hot spring soaking this will be a 5 star stay. We appreciated the exceylocation to Reykjavík and nearby natural wonders which were breathtakingly beautiful."
