"The location was excellent for us as we wanted the museum, almost opposite, and the Conservatoire only some ten minutes walk. It was also some distance from the stadium, where a very loud concert was taking place. Shops and restaurants were within easy walking distance. Much time would have been saved if the entrance instructions had explained the main entrance is not in Park Place but in St Andrew's Place. "We were walking the wales coast path and had not factored in the demand around Cardiff for accommodation when concerts are on. The student accommodation was the only reasonable priced option we could get for the weekend ( still more expensive than a premier inn) The main issue was heat, the room was very warm, a fan was provided but the window is only open a few issues (H&S) therefore circulating warm air. "Always enjoy staying at any James Place properties, never had a complaint to make. Clean, comfy, great decor, staff are always friendly and helpful. Just splendid!"

"I'm sure I could have given 5 stars for everything had we been able to stay. Never received check-in information and Stayright couldn't confirm our booking even though I emailed receipts of payment and booking details from Wotif. Said problem had something to do with booking through Wotif. Took 3 hours to reach a solution which in the end was finding us another property to stay in. That part we were extremely grateful for, but the whole process was extremely stressful."

"We didn’t like the fact that there was no one on site to talk to. We didn’t get fresh towels even though we stayed for 6 nights. The TV in the bedroom was broken and some of the cutlery was dirty. At the end of the stay we had to take all our rubbish to bins at the end of the street. We wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone."
