"Castle House B&B is perfectly located right in the centre of Richmond. It is a lovely elegant Georgian property (c1809), full of charm and history with an inviting lounge to meet other guests. The breakfasts are exceptional, catering from light buffet to full English. Our room (Redmire) is probably the smallest (on first floor), but ample enough for a three days stay. "The staff were very welcoming and made me feel at ease as a lone traveler. My room location was less than ideal at the very top of what seemed to be a never ending staircase, however the room itself was very nice, albeit a smell in the bathroom which smelt of drainage. It was however clean and spacious. The breakfast and evening meal were great and again all staff lovely and helpful."

"The room was nice & clean , a bonus was the air conditioning as it was hot weather . We also ate evening meal there which was ok , breakfast was plentiful with a good choice . We only stayed one night on our way to Scotland & our daughter & family met us there to complete the journey . What was nice was that they were able to park & use the hotel for food / drinks etc . "We informed the hotel we'd be arriving early as we were attending a wedding, and they very kindly had the room ready for our arrival. The room was clean and had comfortable twin beds, with a gorgeous view over the village square and Middleham Castle. The welcome we received was warm and friendly.
