"The owners are great. The property is not. The place is cold for winter, the thermostat is locked, but if you call the owners they will adjust it up some. The place has a smell. It is like a wet dog or mold. The bed is hard, the pillows are flat, and the sheets are thin. It is a multi- stay unit home, if you book a room, there may be another 4 (or more) guests staying there with you sharing the common room. For winter, all the potted plant were brought inside. "Loved this hotel. Its location is amazing - up in the hills and so tranquil but still only a 10 minute drive from Chaves. The hotel has so many fruit trees and herbs - I was able to pick fresh mint to make mint tea whilst I was there. Will definitely return!"

"Lovely clean spacious room with all the facilities we required. We did use the pool while at the hotel and thought it was excellent with plenty of sun loungers. We had breakfast at the hotel and the food was tasty and plenty of choice. We didn’t have an evening meal so can’t comment on main meals. Overall excellent value hotel and I would have no hesitation in booking again if I’m ever in Chaves."
