"Most of the staff was excellent. Hotel needs to identify their guests as the beach is public. Hotel was extremely clean. Breakfast was very good. Beach was very rocky. No sand, all tiny rocks and large rocks in the swimming area. Beach chairs were comfortable. Very pricey area of Sicily."

"A stunning hotel with impeccable service, although the clientele tends to be more flashy than representative of “quiet luxury.” The service at the hotel’s Anciovi restaurant could be improved. Despite clearly requesting non-alcoholic cocktails, we were served alcoholic drinks instead. Rosso and the breakfasts, however, were fabulous, and the valet service was truly exceptional. Special mention goes to Gregory at the concierge desk, who provided exceptionally attentive and thoughtful service throughout our stay."

"We enjoyed Donna Carmela so much we extended our stay by 2 days. All staff were gracious and helpful. We loved the sumptuous breakfast, gourmet restaurant for dinner, as well as the lounge and pool bars. After a day of sightseeing around Mt Etna and Taormina, we came back to the oasis of this lovely resort."

"This location was just outside the city center and very convenient for walking. The staff and amenities were very good and easy to use. The nightly entertainment was excellent and from 9 to midnight. The large pool was refreshing and a bar adjacent. It provided a large buffet style breakfast daily. The setting was relaxing and enjoying."
