Glenn,We are confused by your review. We do allow locals to stay at our location. We do not allow wild parties, nor do we allow guests to exceed the safe occupancy of our rooms. However, this is vastly different than not allowing locals at all.

We have spent several holiday stays at this hotel. The staff are always kind and knowledgeable. Presently, renovations are taking place, so there was a bit of untidiness and noise, but otherwise, a great stay as always.

It was okay. The rooms were nice and big. The outside of building was scary. No outdoor lights on and a lot of mud and bushes around building. The front entrance was worn down and did not even look like a Hyatt Place that I have stayed at before. There was nothing made in the bakery area or in the bar space. Looked like it was closed up and like we were walking into a time zone.

The worst experience I’ve ever had at a Hyatt. Trash/crumbs on the floors. We even found toenail clippings on floor between beds. Very grimy. Def not what I’ve grown accustom to when staying at a Hyatt

I was not aware when booking, that this location was in the middle of a renovation. In an otherwise quiet spot in Roanoke, the construction lift backup beeping sounds outside the front of the building, worked late into the evening. Indoors, the contractor's started early in the morning. Hyatt should have adjusted cost of the stay accordingly for the inconvenience.

They had loud construction till 8 pm and kept giving rooms right by the construction area of the building. Room was dark, no lights by the bed and power plugs did not work

The property and the rooms are nice. Didn’t realize this property was under remodel so a lot of things were just weird. Upon getting off on floor 5 the hallway smelled of paint the whole stay. The rooms were very nicely decorated, clean and spacious. However, the windows were covered with plastic so you couldn’t see out. The light switches were placed on backwards so to turn on the light you press it down and not up. There no space in the shower to place your items that you need to take a shower. What was in there was tiny and my items kept falling. The towel rack for clean towels is in the shower so that was weird as well.
Overall, the place is nice . I feel once the construction is completed this place would have gotten a 10/10 for me.

Large renovation is happening to this hotel. There is noise from 8am to 6pm. Many parking spots have construction trucks parked in them. The lighting is not good, very dim. It is hidden behind a large Chinese buffet. Our window was covered with plastic wrap and blue painters tape. The air quality in the room felt stale. Both my daughter and I woke up with a sinus headache. Neither one of us felt sick or have any health issues.

Hotel was doing a massive renovation. The lobby staff went out of their way to determine what type of room would best meet our needs in light of the renovation going on. We were entirely satisfied and breakfast was delicious.

There was construction and remodeling going on at this location. Two rooms were booked through Expedia. Upon arrival we were informed the rooms would be on separate floors and upon inquiring “why” they put us in rooms next to each other. However, one room had a refrigerator that was not working. It was replaced after we advised them of it. It was obvious we were on a floor that gad not been completed in remodel and baseboard along the hall was missing; a piece of tile at the baseboard in one of the rooms was missing; no lamps/lights at the headboard or side of the bed. These were a few of the more significant things noted.
