"My stay at Holiday Inn Express Midtown was overall just decent for the price. It’s an older building, and that definitely shows throughout the property. You get what you pay for. There were a few frustrations during my stay. I was surprised to see bottled water in the room came with a charge, which felt a bit nickel-and-dime for a hotel at this level. Additionally, I was woken up early by housekeeping banging on the door around 7am, which wasn’t ideal. The elevator situation was also a challenge—it took so long that I eventually gave up and ended up walking down six flights of stairs with my luggage, which was far from convenient. All in all, it’s fine if you’re looking for something budget-friendly, but don’t expect much beyond the basics. "

"Overall it was a good stay. When we booked via hotel.com, it listed our room including balcony/patio. I did research and found this hotel did not have any balcony. Anyway, it was okay w/o balcony. However, we were placed on 2nd floor. Window is no sound proof. It was pretty loud. Room is small, generally clean. We love the hotel location. "
