We completely unloaded our vehicle at our room & then discovered we couldn't connect to wifi. Front desk was unable to correct after over 30 mins. We were given option of staying w/o wifi or moving to another room (To be fair, the evening desk clerk tried her best to be helfpul). We loaded our vehicle & moved. Checked for wifi, then unloaded our vehicle AGAIN. We were traveling w/ food on a long road trip. This refrig had no freezer. All rooms were stated to have freezers. We weren't going to load & move again. When we checked out the next morning I explained how we'd been twice inconvenienced & asked for some compensation. Morning desk clerk told us:
1. We had booked through a 3rd party
2. We already had a good price for the room
3. Motel had new owner who didn't know what booking sites offered, nor did he know what amenities his motel rooms offered
4. New owner was selling in Dec anyway.
None of these responses were valid.
I explained that the lack of accommodation for the inconveniences would be reflected in my review of their motel. Desk clerk would let owner know. Didn't seem to be of concern to her.
I called Expedia. They were wonderful in assisting us in offering some compensation from their end. Thank you.
