"We were moved to Scandic Byeparken because of the hotel staff strike. Very cramped room. Reception staff unsmiling and not terribly helpful. Morning staff much better - friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is first-rate. the hotel is very well situated."

"Stayed for 3 nights with family.The hotel location is good and close to supermarket and other amenities. It's a 20 minute walk to train station. No tea or coffeemaking facilities in room.In common area were there were facilitaties for coffee and tea,the tray was empty on a lot of occasions and when we asked staff just kept pointing at paid machine which was not very helpful. Self check in works well and also good facilities to store luggage. "

"A good size room, large in fact. Kettle and tea etc would have been good. Breakfast was pretty good, good service. Very handy for town centre, bus and light rail services to airport. It is getting on in age and the room a bit careworn but still ok."

"Our room had a fantastic view over beautiful Bergen. Due to the current hotel staff strike, the room was given occasional and limited cleaning. Only breakfast was available, no bar or restaurant during the rest of the day. Staff are entitled to strike and this did not prevent us from having a great stay in Bergen."

"We enjoyed this as our final stay in Norway after 2 weeks. It was idyllic, scenic, and we loved the hens and chicks free ranging on the property! So cute. The only confusion was that there isn't any signage directing you where to go when you arrive. We accidentally went to the door of their main home that is pictured in the Expedia listing, instead of the home that is the rental described. I had to message them when we arrived for clarification. Other than that, the stay was very relaxing....

"Very centrally located by the harbour, across the road for the airport bus and two minutes walk to Unesco Brygge site. Rather tired atmosphere but reasonable value for Bergen. Recommend Mostrtaumen fjord trip, funicular and 'Around Bergen in 80 minutes' walking tour with Don was fantastic "

"Lovely apartment but up a very steep hill, Apartment had everything you needed, really comfortable beds, lovely lounge area and kitchen, only 10mins to harbour. Bathroom had a washer but no dryer. Would recommend but not for anyone that can't climb up a, steep road."
