Waterside Resort is an excellent choice for your stay to the Edenton area. Great location on the Albemarle Sound. Very clean and spacious condo. Fully equipped kitchen and lovely view from our unit. We enjoyed every evening with a cocktail at the fire pit to watch the sunset. Very friendly staff. We will return.

Location a bit out of the way from Edenton, but is a good central location for local kayaking and has great view of the Abelmare Sound. Will stay there again! I would say the second bathroom without a shower is a design miss. Having 6 guests (2 king bedrooms, 1 fold-out) with one shower would not be fun. Four would work but typically a separate couple would want a separate shower. Its a large room with a decent kitchen but there is tons of wasted open space. Didn't use the pool / outdoor fireplace / hot tub as our stay was out of season. However, those are nice amenities

What a lovely place! Our condo was nicely decorated, had tons of space, kitchen counters that went for miles! Lots of windows to view the beautiful sound. We valued the somewhat isolated location. No walkability to stores but Edenton was just across the bridge. What a cute, beautiful, historic town! We would definitely return!

The inside of the property was nice and well-maintained. The outside of the property was covered in Midges and Spiders. If you had your curtains open at night, they would swarm your windows. The bugs brought hundreds of spiders that encased the building. If you park under the building, your car gets covered in spiders and spider poop.

Nice condo on the sound

Nice condo/time share location on the Inner Banks sound. The three bedroom unit had a fantastic layout…well appointed with a separate upper level. This upper level has a winding staircase and private elevator access. This could be an issue for some if there was a problem with the elevator (happened to another unit while we were there). The complex does have a quiet time policy at night, but can have issues if unit owners who visit infrequently do not follow (also happened during our stay). The management and staff does have a presence on site most of the the time and are helpful, but impression is that more staff would be helpful. If you’re looking for a place a step above a local hotel without a lot of on site amenities (pool and hot tub were in process of opening for the season) this might be the place for your next trip to the area. It is near the historical town of Edenton (10mi) and a 1 1/2 hr drive to the Outer Banks.

Overall a disappointment

Under "Policies" they say that a noise free room cannot be guaranteed. Now I know why. The walls are very thin and everything can be heard in the apartment next door. We had noise coming from both sides of our 3 bedroom place. Not a peaceful stay which is a shame because the property location is so serene. The left side of the bed in the master bedroom was worn out from use. Only one garbage bag and two dish washing cubes for a 5 night stay. Cheap coffee maker didn't stay hot. Bugs all over the outside areas including balcony. More attention to detail would solve some of these problems but the noise issue could only be improved by people being more considerate of others, or perhaps by leaving space between guests. The hotel wasn't full yet we had people on both sides of us. I didn't bring up any of these issues with the manager because upon check in he didn't seem to be all that friendly. In hindsight I should have spoke up early and often, but for this vacation all I wanted was peace. Alas, this was not to be the case. Good points are the pool, the inside cleanliness of the condo and the views of the Albemarle sound.

Nice Condo

The condo is very nice and the beds were very comfortable. However, the building itself need power washing because there are spider webs and spiders everywhere on the building, luggage cart and balcony.
