As an English speaker this made my stay much better- I was last in the Czech Republic 40 years ago no one, outside of Prague, talked English so being able to communicate was wonderful. "We were blown away by this gorgeous apartment! The suite was absolutely beautiful. Could not get over the stunning view that overlooked the square which was just so lovely. It had the perfect amount of amenities for our four night stay. We fell in love with Brno, and this stay definitely factored in. You will not be disappointed!"

"The location was fantastic- close to the train station, castle, beautiful squares, and dining locations steps from the hotel entrance. The hair dryer did not work and the bed was lumpy and uncomfortable but the mini split worked perfectly so the room temperature was cool and it was a pretty and large room. The breakfast was good."

The excuse is old buildings, can't apply, rules, cost, etc but Asia has way more ACs. I am European and there have been heat waves every summer since I can remember.
