After our check in disaster, the rest of the stay went well. The room was comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. A delightful place to stay.

This hotel is an absolute gem ..complete with all the features you would expect from a building of its age but with modern amenities.. and a character walled garden to sit in during the evenings . The hotel is literally a short walk from the absolute centre of Rothenburg so is perfectly placed to explore this wonderful medieval town.. (i highly recommend walking the town walls ). Despite that it was very peaceful to stay. The staff were wonderful (Inge in particular i wish to thank you) and they went out of their way to make us feel very welcome without being intrusive and gave great advice on where to eat in the evening… AND the breakfast ! WOW .. all you would expect from a typical European breakfast and more ..substantial offerings to say the least (especially the breads)..Viola was in charge of that i believe. Thank you for a great stay .. and we definitely would like to come back again

The place was charming and the staff was amazing. It does not have air conditioning but with open windows and the room fan it was quite pleasant.

This is a must see and stay. Right in the middle of this quaint town. The breakfast is typical yet plentiful German style. The owner and their family are very friendly and Extremely helpful. Make this your next stay. It will not disappoint.

We had a wonderful stay! The location is perfect! Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The patio was cozy and a nice spot to enjoy a slice of cake. Only minor stress was with the parking because we didn’t pre-reserve with the hotel (our fault, not theirs). But, they were able to offer us a spot so it all worked out. We would stay again!

Enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Full of character and charm. We were told we could use the small garage but was not informed chargeable at 15 euros a day so was a little surprised when bill came. The same with the addition of frühstücksgetränke (breakfast drinks) which was added on at 3 euros per drink in addition to the frühstücksbuffet (at 12 euros per person per day). I’ve never seen the tea and coffee as additional pricing to a breakfast meal at a hotel. Apart from that, was a lovely hotel to stay at lovely garden where can still and have cake and drinks.

Rothenburg is a beautiful medieval city that has been modernized for today's standards. The Gerberhaus Hotel is within the walls of the city and provides all the charm you come to expect. A wonderful breakfast buffet helps start the day for shopping and sightseeing.

We enjoyed our stay at this quaint hotel just inside the old city walls, a short walk from the inexpensive public parking lot P1. Onsite parking is also available and you can drive right up to the hotel to drop your luggage. The included breakfast buffet is OK if not outstanding. It is a 10 minute walk to the Market Square and the center of the historic district. The room was comfortable and quiet but the bathroom lacked a stand-up shower, for us a disadvantage. Note that after 6:00pm you have to use the back entrance on a small medieval alley to come and go. Overall this was a good base to enjoy this beautiful medieval town.

This is the second time i have stayed at this hotel. The staff is wonderful and the hotel is perfect to start your walk around the walled city of Rothenburg. You will start with a wonderful breakfast and can have a great snack come lunchtime in the rear garden. The rooms are wonderful and very clean and its nice to end the day with a cold beer next to the garden.

Magical

I LOVE ROTHENBERG! THIS CHARMING INN IS EXCELLENT. THE LOCATION TO PARKING AND TOWN IS EXCELLENT. THE BREAKFAST IS DELICIOUS. WE STAYED HERE IN 1983 AND LAST WEEK. WE WILL STAY AGAIN. THE ONLY ISSUE...PILLOWS TOO FLUFFY.
