"Stunning bedroom views from this lodge and exceptional service and kind attitude from Shannon ! Food was also great. It’s an older lodge that has been upgraded with excellent bathroom fixtures and main bedroom lighting. Wifi is a little slow, early morning hot water taps need to run a bit before hot water arrives and the sliding partition in our room 2 needs to be replaced with a frosted glass door as the current wooden sliding partition is a little stiff to open . Otherwise an excellent choice...

"Basic safari hotel. Institutional catering. Unfortunately, the Safari vehicles were worn out and very uncomfortable. They had not replaced the shock absorber which made the drive very uncomfortable. Convenient to Cape Town, but clearly not the right bush for giraffes which had their heads permanently bowed due to lack of any trees."

The staff were all super friendly and could not do enough to help you was an absolute pleasure to have them there. "The setting is wonderful, the pool area & garden walks divine. Our room was spacious & had a good sized deck area outside.Bed linen was clean & fresh. The bathroom needed updating & was not very clean ie. window ledges were dusty & grout from the tiles lined the edge of the bath. I had to ask for a hairdryer. Breakfast took a long time on the first morning , the 2 inexperienced staff struggled to provide us with a cup of coffee saying they had only one pot & there were 2 other people wanting...

"I loved the historical building. The loft rooms were trendy and nicely decorated. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Could have been a bit more attention to detail, like marks on the couch cushions that could have been cleaned off. There is no parking if you come in a vehicle and we had to leave our car in the street which we weren't very happy about. There was a guard there and the car was fine though."
