"Exceptionally great value for a busy seaside town such as Newcastle. Check-in staff was excellent as were the rest of the staff we met. The continental breakfast was absolutely adequate and free, so great value. Room facilities were adequate as well and the bathroom was great with plenty of hot water and shower get, shampoo etc.. Great location, free parking right outside and nearby. Highlight was The Donard being so dog friendly and dog welcoming. Definitely now my place of choice to stay when...

"There was always someone on the reception desk to help with any enquiries. The staff were all very helpful and understanding, and there was plenty of car parking spaces. It would be more than a ten minute walk to the town, but we had a lovely stress free time due to excellent accommodation. OH!!!! and the food was excellent."

"Lovely say in cottage. Sleeps 9 with 4 downstairs on sofabeds. Washing machine and 2 tiolets. Close to newcastle and lovely surroundings. Even a red squirrel spotted in next doors garden. Cosey and has large stove fire. "

"Great stay. Location is great for Belfast in the north or Newcastle and Mourne in the south. Nice and quiet, clean too. Met Michael and Michaela who were very helpful and informative. If you don't know the area just ask, helpful hosts. I originally had planned to be there on my own, but my son wanted to come along lay minute. "I have stayed at Denvirs in Downpatrick before and it is wonderful. It dates from 1642 and Eoin, one of the staff can give you the history of the place. He is wonderful as well as the manager and all the staff. The food can't be beat either. A must stay in Downpatrick!"

"Great find. We only stayed 1 night. When and if we’re the area again I will definitely stay again. Only recommendation I would make as we arrived when getting dark, a bit more signage on the roadside to make it easier to locate. Other than that we’ve no complaints. Pod was first class, stylish modern and very clean."

"Lovely apartment. We had a really nice few days here. No allocated parking, but we never had a problem finding a space close by. Good to have a shop so close (literally under our feet.) Facilities were good; enough kitchen utensils, pans, etc. that we could cook meals with no problems. Nice bathroom and excellent lounge area. Seating area and space outside as well if the weather permits. Nice area to walk around as well, with harbour and coast very close by. The location is a bit off the beaten...

"A truly wonderful find! Quiet, convenient, clean well appointed cottage, with attentive, friendly hosts. Good parking, near enough (by car) to the Mourne Mountains, Murlough, Tyrella and Ballykinler beaches and Newcastle. About a 45 min drive from Belfast. A great haven for peaceful outdoor pursuits or just getting away from it all. Will happily stay again! "
