"This is an excellent B and B. Clean, quiet, safe, affordable and comfortable. It is a bit remote, in a little village, so do take care when driving to it. "Lovely room and excellent communication for arrival etc. The reason I can’t give 5 stars is because of the poor breakfast offering. With the exception of the yogurt pots and fruit (which was grapes and a few blueberries) everything else was ultra processed (bread, cereal). Usually I’d have porridge. There was prepackaged chocolate porridge which gives you a sense of the rest. The coffee machine was one of those that you get at a petrol station - which you don’t expect these days in a good b&b....

"An extremely warm welcome set the tone for my visit, yea and cake to start off with. First class service delivered by the marvellous hosts. A very well appointed room and en-suite bathroom. "Lovely b&b. Fantastic 3 course meal. Highly recommended. Kate is a super host. But the two dogs beg at the breakfast/dinner table. They need to be kept in a separate room while guests are eating. Breakfast was disappointing. Cooked breakfast consisted of 2 streaky bacon,burnt sausage and a fried egg with yolk overcooked. Make sure you ask how you want your eggs cooked. "Very slow check in, card machine not working so had to write my card details down on a piece of paper (not sure this is compliant with GDPR). No iron available. Paid £15 for breakfast thinking it was a cooked breakfast but was only continental consisting of a box of cereal, a piece of ham, 2 pieces of cheese, rock hard crusty roll and a jar of strawberries. Drove 5 minutes down the road and got 2 full English breakfasts for £16. There was no shower gel and only half a toilet roll left for us....
