"The location in the Bryggen area is perfect for strolling the Fish Market and waterfront area. The hotel is lovely and the staff is helpful and friendly. Rooms are modern and comfortable. Breakfast is fabulous! Loved our stay!"

"Very dated grand hotel in an excellent location.. it desperately needs a makeover, but saying that it’s a great value. With free breakfast and dinner with good food and great service that’s what you’re getting. The staff couldn’t be friendlier. Just expect old school styling. Very old school. I would recommend taking one of the few rooms facing the harbor, even though they are smaller they have windows facing the water. The rooms that are larger often have half windows so we chose a standard room after seeing both, but it had a direct harbor view, which was nice.."

"Loved the hotel charm and the location. Heat was not working properly and we got locked into our room. No phone in the room so had to call from outside line. Good thing there wasn’t a fire. Also bar downstairs is loud and goes ‘til late at night"
