"We stayed five nights at the Sheraton Soma Bay Resort with my wife and teen daughter in a luxury suite to wrap up our extensive Egypt trip. The room was beautifully furnished with 3 balconies providing 270 degree view. The property’s true strength is its beautiful beach and sunset views. The main shortcomings is a very limited number of restaurants (2) which is rather unusual for such a sprawling resort. All in all, an excellent stay."

The staff were attentive throughout, particularly those managing the pool and exterior restaurant. The property’s true strength is its waterfront location directly on the Nile: the infinity pools, outdoor seating, and sunset views are exceptional. All in all, an excellent stay."

"Location was amazing – the hotel sits on its own island in the Nile and the views around the resort are stunning. Pools are excellent in size and position, especially the infinity pool overlooking the river, but they could have been cleaner: a bit murky and the pool floor wasn’t pristine, so not quite 5‑star. Rooms were very poor for a 5‑star resort: extremely basic and not luxurious at all. We had a family room advertised as two rooms, but there’s no door between them, so it’s really one big...
