Stay away from this property, and save yourself massive stress of needing to book another hotel on the spot! Probably the worst hotel experience I had in my entire life. Unreliable (literally closed!), unpleasant and aggressive staff, dirty and hot rooms. Expedia check-in info said that check-in time is until 9pm. I’ve arrived at 8:10pm, only to find the hotel door all locked up with the paper stuck to the door saying that they’re open till 8pm. I got no email or text notification about the change of the opening hours. There was an emergency number to call if you arrive outside these hours. I called it twice, no one answered. I contacted Expedia agents immediately, and they called as well - same result, no answer. I was forced to book another hotel in the area for the night. Since my booking at this place was for two nights, I returned the next day after 5 pm to check in for the second night. The person at the reception was extremely aggressive- once he learned that I filed a case with Expedia to get my money back, he tried to rip off my phone from my hand to erase my call history that was my proof that I called the hotel emergency number. I still had no choice but to stay so I went upstairs to my room. Only to find 4 dead flies on the bed, crazy amount of dust everywhere, hair in the shower drain… the room was also extremely hot. I was traveling with my dog so this room was definitely a health risk for a dog. Was forced to buy a night at other hotel. Dreadful!!!

Check-in time is at 4pm. Staff comes in at that time. Breakfast starts at 8am. The staff that is there to check-in and provide service till 8pm was very helpful and friendly. Rooms are small as it seems to be geared for the skiers. Good location once you get there. Without a car directions are deceiving and the walk is long with trailing luggage. Try to get the bus from the train station which will take you up the mountain (it’s free). This bus can also take you to other near by towns (such as Chamonix).

Séjour très agréable à St Gervais. Hôtel très bien situé dans le centre du village. Très bon accueil par la jeune gérante de l'hôtel, merci à elle pour sa gentillesse et son dynamisme, petit déjeuner top!
