Lovely spotlessly clean room with large balcony. Food and service was superb . Excellent breakfast. . Our only disappointment was the small internal bar area which lacked atmosphere - and sometimes staff !
We will happily stay again on our next visit to the Vendee.

Cannot see why this hotel is only 2 star
Rooms are small but other than that a great place to stay
We stayed 2 nights and would def stay again
Only downside , no tea / coffee facilities in room

we loved the area with an easy access to the beach. The city is also near by so you can chose your daily activities within a reach.
Unfortunately, there is no AC in the rooms so we slept with the windows open and was woken up daily between 4.30am and 6am by the staff pushing laundry trolleys outside. The reception hasn't offer a solution i.e. changing the room.
If I come back to this hotel, I will make sure they allocate the room on the highest floor.

What a gem of a place! Amazing room, service, friendliness. The hosts went the extra mile….even covering our bikes when it started to drizzle! Great breakfast! But ate far too much! Loved this hotel and will definitely be back!

Our stay family stay at the hotel was excellent. A great room on the ground floor opening out onto the swimming pool. The pool was lovely and warm, and the games room with pool table and chess board were well used by our children.
We would really recommend the hotel which was in a great location next to the castle. Buffet breakfast was very good

Lovely, traditional hotel, lovely host, worth €8 per night for secure underground parking, though sure car would have been fine in the square had it not been the Saturday market.

Beautiful hotel if your aim is to just flip flop around, lounge by the pool and soak up the sun and smell the surrounding pine trees. Think little lizards, pine cones and pina coladas.
We had an upstairs room which had the most beautiful view. All the rooms face out onto the sea, and you get a beautiful light over the water in the evening. The balcony’s are mostly shaded too which is a good thing, it helps to keep the rooms cool.
You can hire bikes (€14 / half day) and cycle across the island...

The hotel was unusual in its decor however it was clean and well kept. The room was adequate with great a cleaning service. The breakfasts were well organised and everything you needed. The proprietor was an amazing man. He was pleasant helpful and helped with my French pronunciations. He had amazing sense of humour I would definitely visit again
Well done
