"Beautiful hotel and grounds in the central of this pretty historic town. Rooms are large, clean and modern. Everything in town is within walking distance of the hotel, so you can just leave your car and explore on foot. "

"Lovely setting. Room was small but adequate. No walk in shower just a bath tub with a shower over. Rather antiquated and has seen better days. Evening meal was very pleasant and staff friendly. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Scrambled egg was all gone bar a scraping around the edge. Not a great amount of choice for the price. If you have mobility issues I’d seriously reconsider staying here. Stairs are rather hard to navigate"

Being returning guests, who enjoy the village and surrounding area, are aware that if you are unable to check-in before the restaurant closes for lunch time service, you have to wait until 18.00hrs when restaurant re opens for evening service to check-in, though there is a phone number on the door. Expedia on their confirmation says you can check-in anytime from 14.00hrs."
