La chambre était impeccable, très propre et bien entretenue, ce qui est pour moi un point essentiel. On se sent tout de suite à l’aise. Franchement, rien à redire, tout s’est très bien passé. "The hotel was lovely and had great parking. Initially, I was given Room 1, which was the accessible superior room. I hadn’t requested an accessible room, but that wouldn’t have been a problem. The room itself was a good size and had a terrace, which would normally be a real bonus. However, the room was quite dark due to its location at the back of the hotel, and the terrace faced a brick wall, so there wasn’t really a view. Unfortunately, there was also an issue with flies in the bathroom that day. The staff did try to deal with them, but they returned, so I asked to move rooms. I was then moved to Room 229 on the second floor, which was more like the room pictured in the advertising, and it was beautiful. It was at the front of the building with a lovely view over the street, and I absolutely loved it. The only minor negative was the shower area. The shower base was a little grubby and the bottom of the shower screen had become yellow. It would be an easy job to replace it and would make the room so much better. That said, everywhere was otherwise spotlessly clean Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. The location was excellent — close to the shops, the Château and everything I wanted to visit. As a solo traveller, I found everything very easy and convenient, and I would happily stay again."

"We were surprised the hotel is not in the current Michelin guide presumably because strictly speaking you do not have a restaurant. They seem to have a new policy on thisI think you should take this up with the guide - we found you on a website but in general I rely on the Michelin for a reliable recommendation. And the restaurant which is in the guide does not make the connection with the hotel clear."

"Great location within a small square with cafes, bars and restaurants on your doorstep. Public car park next to hotel which is free from 19:00 - 09:15 and not expensive during other times. We didn’t book breakfast but decided to have it. Such a good decision as breakfast was really good with almost too much of a selection. Pastries, breads, cereals, cheeses, hams, salmon, eggs, bacon, juices and much more."

"The Hotel is located over the river from Chinon, so a good location for visiting the town and exploring the area. There are 3 parking places outside the hotel but there is a secured off-site car park for hotel guests a short distance away. We visited during the very hot weather in June 26 and our room was very warm at night as a consequence, an electric fan is provided which we had running all night. The breakfast is traditional French fare and very good quality. There is also a courtyard garden which is ideal for relaxing in or taking your breakfast. There is a wide choice of restaurants available in Chinon and we used Bistrot Fauve in the main square, which is associated with the hotel."
