Vincent was incredible…the property and our room were amazing and was better than expected from photos and other reviews. My wife loved the surprise, and I would highly recommend!!!
This is a wonderful gem! The old character was just what I hoped for and more! The grounds were relaxing, especially the orchard. The history book in the room was fun to read. Home cooked breakfast was top notch and the hosts were extremely kind and helpful. We felt welcomed and at home, I’ll definitely be back if I’m in Bayeux again!
Amazing genuine chateau. Huge rooms, we even had a balcony. Great breakfast, the landlord made whatever we wanted. We felt very welcomed by the landlord and had a great time. This is a hidden gem.
Lovely room fantastic owner who was very friendly. Beautiful breakfast included. Highly recommend for couples who want a nice stay with peace and quiet
This property was absolutely beautiful and quaint. We stayed in the Catherine suite which had its own private green room. It was a real treat! I enjoyed listening to the rain and sipping tea in the early morning in the green room. Our shower was fantastic and the bathroom was newly remodeled. The property has a lot of history and preserves the charm of a real French country Chateau. The grounds are gorgeous and our hosts allowed us to spend the evening exploring the park and fruit orchard. Breakfast was great, it included the best apple juice I’ve ever had (because the best apples grow in this region) crepes, eggs, bacon, yogurt, cereal, meats, cheeses, fruits, croissants, breads, etc. The experience of staying in a Chateau that once belong to a Marquis and has so much history, with such beautiful grounds, is so much better than any hotel. We loved our stay, and the hosts work hard to make it comfortable and welcoming. Merci!
The breakfast was excellent! (Crepes, eggs, fruit, yogurt, meats, bread, coffee/tea, juice)
The hosts were thoroughly helpful & friendly!
We would definitely give this property a 5-star rating all the way!
Absolutely wonderful stay! The Chateau is gorgeous and the owners are delightful. The breakfast was incredible. He would make eggs anyway you would like them. They had crepes, breads, cheeses, fruit, sweets and much more! A real gem!
Driving up to the historic Chateaux Damigny, with roses blooming along the path, I knew our stay was going to be wonderful. We were immediately greeted by the proprietor Vincent and his wife Corinne. Our suite was well appointed and very spacious with beautiful furnishings. In addition to the huge bedroom with seating around the fireplace and TV, we had our very own sunroom overlooking the fountain and the rest of the property. It was divine. Since we arrived late we had ordered a “cold plate” and the table was set with a feast of meats, seafood, bread, cheeses, and apple pie, all beyond our expectations. We enjoyed reading about the history of the chateaux and then walking the grounds. Last but not least, the breakfasts were fabulous, more like a brunch, in my view, with everything from fresh squeezed orange juice, fruit, cheese, saucions, breads and croissants to home made crepes and eggs to order. Great coffee and a nice selection of teas as well. After long days of sightseeing, it was so nice to retreat to our lovely suite at the chateaux.
Beautiful historic home. Property was a delight! Furniture was antique and very worn. Amazing breakfast the offered eggs bacon crepes and the typical breads and home made jams. Grounds are peaceful
