The chateau (obviously usually used as a small conference centre) and the room were lovely. Very comfortable bed with large room and excellent shower.

There was a communication issue between the hotel and Expedia, however I was offered a free upgrade to a better room. The staff were very accommodating to all my requests, the apartment was probably the best I've stayed in including a living room with kitchenette, 2 double bedrooms, bathroom and rest room. There was also a balcony with table and seating. Complimentary water was provided. There was even a lazyboy recliner. We did buy some drinks from the bar, be aware that you had to take the drinks back to your room rather than drink them at the bar.

Très bel appartement avec tout le nécessaire. Le personnel est très professionnel et très agréable. Superbe piscine avec spa et courant, également équipée d'un sauna infrarouge. Nous y avons passé un bon moment ! Le château est proche des commerces et grandes surfaces. Et nous netions pas trop loin des villes avoisinantes pour faire nos découvertes de la régions. On vous le conseille.

A well hidden jem

Perfect stay other than signage to access through the gates and where to check in - this was frustrating after a long drive. It is located in a large garden along with a care home and it was difficult to locate where the reception was and where the building was. We arrived late but we were welcomed by a very very helpful and courteous receptionist. Now we know where everything is we will definitely stay there again.

Pleased we stayed

Check was confusing, we had to go to the retirement home reception. Room was great, beautiful bathroom. No nearby eateries, ordered in. Don’t bother booking the breakfast,he’d to keep asking for things like plates.

Billed as having a restaurant, but they had none. No restaurant closer than a 1/4 mile radius. Breakfast was not worth having. The main facility was a seniors retirement home! Old hotel building is nice but common areas could use a good cleaning.

Magnifique j'ai adoré !

Agréablement surprise la chambre est grandiose on dirait une vraie suite. Dormir dans un château c'était top et calme je me suis sentie privilégié. Comme une princesse ! Lieu très sécurisé et surveillé. La literie est très confortable. Il faut se diriger dans a l'accueil de la résidence de senior pour récupérer les clés de la chambre d'hôtel qui se trouve dans le château un peu plus de la résidence. Et les prix sont très raisonnable pas cher même en vu de la qualité des chambres et des équipements.

Nice place but in a senior persons complex

Lovely room and very clean, however kettle was provided in room but no cups and only 1 sleeve of coffee, so not able to make any drinks. The restaurant was in the senior persons complex and set evening menu very limited. Had to find alternative place to eat. Staff on check in were unhelpful, key fob supplied did not work and was told they would come when they had time. We had to find an alternative way to get into the chateau. When this was booked we did not know this was part of a senior persons complex, this should have been made clearer as the pictures only show the chateau and not the new double floored building next to it. The bed was lovely and comfortable, however sleep disturbed by elephants that appeared to have accommodated the room above as every foot step and door opening at 6.30am could be easily heard.

Lovely stop. A nice change from Calais

Beautiful Chateau but a moment of panic when told to enter the Seniors Living Home in the same grounds. This should be clearer in the description. The reception and pool/sauna, bar and breakfast are in the Senior Residence. This said everything was perfect and very comfortable. Only a few issues, the shower went cold very quickly for both myself and my husband. Also, extra pillows for the bed and some instructions for the TV would be great . I’m usually pretty good but couldn’t figure the sound out.

Rigtig fint værelse og chateuet er rigtig smukt, desværre ligger det lige ved siden af et plejehjem/ ældre boliger, hvilket gør det lidt mærkeligt. Desuden er gym og pool i ældre bplig bygningen, så man har ikke lyst til at benytte det. Der var en A/c på værelset der blæste varm luft ud som vi ikke kunne slukke, det var virkelig varmt! Den a/c vi havde fjernbetjening til larmede meget og gjorde det svært at sove.

QUEL DOMMAGE !

QUEL DOMMAGE ! Réservation de 2 chambres pour 2 nuits Très jolie bâtisse, superbe hall et au premier coup d’œil très jolie chambre bien décorée. Mais on s’aperçoit ensuite que l’entretien laisse à désirer : Papier de mur déchiré, petits bois de fenêtre prêt à tomber.,etc …,que le ménage est fait succinctement :Toile d’araignée et araignées ,vitres très sales ,toilettes etc… Beaucoup de manques dans les 2 chambres : Pas de papier toilette, flacons de savon vide, pas de bouilloire mais des doses de café, pas de poubelles etc… Dans une des chambres pas de penderie, dans l’autre, une penderie mais pas de cintre. Après réclamation, nous avons dû changer de chambre car pas d’eau froide au lavabo, problème déjà connu mais pas réglé et on installe quand même des clients dans cette chambre On nous donne un badge sensé tout ouvrir dont la grille d’entrée mais le soir cela ne marche pas donc ; obligé d’appeler : Problème également connu Le deuxième jour, les chambres n’ont pas été faites : Lits non faits (Impensable pour un hôtel) et le badge d’une des chambres ne fonctionne plus En conclusion, quel dommage, sans entretien et sans ménage sérieux, ce joyau va vite se dégrader et avoir une triste image auprès des éventuels clients Un manque de professionnalisme de la direction et de la gouvernante Par contre, personnel d’accueil et de nuit très très sympa et serviable.
