Unfortunately, our stay at this motel was not a good one. When we arrived, the air conditioning was off and the room was very hot. We turned on the AC, but it was so loud we had to turn it off and open the window instead. Unfortunately, it was still too hot to sleep. The sink in the bathroom was very low. The "mountain view" room we booked was in a separate building, which was not as nice as the main motel. The listing was a bit misleading.

L'endroit est magnifique,la nature est vraiment belle...je suis arrivé vers 18:00 quand je suis allé a la réception confirmer ma réservation le réceptionniste qui semble être le patron a été bête et voulait quasiment me refuser la chambre parce que j'avais un chien alors que sur le site ils indiquaient qu'ils acceptent les chiens...et commençait a me dire des bêtises alors je lui ait dit que je meme serait pas tapé 5h de route avec mon chien sachant que vous n'acceptez pas les chiens Il a fini par accepter mais il n'était pas content...a éviter si vous avez des chiens

J'ai demeuré dans l'une des chambres du motel. En rétrospective, je n'ai pas du tout aimé que le gérant m'incite à payer plus pour avoir une chambre avec vue sur le fleuve. C'est bien, mais je n'ai pas ce genre de vente à pression qui m'a couté.

Par où commencer ? Nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel juste avant d’aller passer la journée à Tadoussac. La chambre était conforme aux photos ce qui est déjà bien. La chambre est propre également. Cependant, qu’elle ne fut pas notre surprise de voir que la porte de la chambre ne fermait pas, malgré nos multiples tentatives. Les murs étant fins, nous avons entendu que les voisins avaient du mal à fermer leur porte également. Au niveau des prises, aucune prises pour brancher son téléphone à côté du lit, ce qui est vraiment pénible. Au niveau de la salle de bain, sur la propreté, rien à dire. Par contre…. La douche est clairement là pour décaper la peau, ce n’est pas du tout agréable et relaxant. Le lavabo est très bas, trop bas. Peut-être est-ce adapté aux personnes à mobilité réduite mais non car le miroir est placé très haut. Les toilettes, un bruit qui réveille tous les voisins autour. Conclusion : j’ai été extrêmement déçue de se séjour, je ne recommande pas du tout. Le prix de 155$/ nuit est clairement une arnaque. La seule chose qui peut expliquer le prix est la proximité avec Tadoussac, cependant, même là le prix est trop dispendieux pour un motel. Il n’y a aucun service, passez votre chemin et aller dormir à l’hôtel Tadoussac, là au moins vous en aurez pour votre argent.

C'était vraiment bien, super bel endroit, la vie était superbe, j'ai pris une chambre avec vue sur le fleuve et c'était comme sur les photos. Le lit est par contre extrêmement dur (comme dormir sur une planche de bois) et j'avais un peu l'impression de déranger la personne à l'accueil, ce qui faisait une grosse différence avec les gens du coin qui sont très jasant d'habitude. J'y retournerai quand même parce que j'ai adoré la place

We did not actually stay here. The place came up as being at Riviere du Loup when we were tired and searching for a pet-friendly spot for the night (our schedule had changed ... we were booking while on the road). It wasn't obvious that it was across the river and inaccessible except by ferry. Anyways we booked at 9 pm for that same night on a non-refundable ticket, got a message saying "You stay in Sainte Simeone is booked", as we were like "What? Where's that?". We quickly checked, realized we'd made a mistake (again, misleading location), and contacted Expedia immediately (the Expedia agent was excellent) to cancel it. The booking hadn't even been processed when the Expedia agent got through to cancel the order (so about 15 mins from when we booked), but the Motel said that it was a non-refundable ticket and they were abiding by those rules. We aren't naive - we understand that accommodations have to protect themselves against people booking, locking up rooms and then cancelling a couple hours later or similar - that's fair as accommodations can lose clients/business. But in this case, online it said the booking wasn't even processed ... we thought it very poor practice of them to milk us for those $$$ when it was obviously a mistake that was caught very quickly. Anyways, others may like the place, but we won't go somewhere that has unkind tendencies. We STRONGLY recommend that Expedia revise this as not being in Riviere du Loup - that is very misleading.
