The Spot at Porpoise Bay

"I had seen some not so good reviews and was a bit skeptical, but this place is a little gem. It was spotlessly clean, the staff were friendly and professional, it was quiet and very well appointed. It's a great location and has a lovely view over the inlet (when the tide is in). We really enjoyed our stay. There is a great pub/restaurant right next door and the downtown area of Sechelt is about 1km away. Would recommend it anytime."

"Cute place to stay, where you have a very cozy bed in a private room with your own washroom and mini kitchenette. The living area is shared with other guests, as is the hot tub. The property is in a quiet residential neighborhood, and is the bottom half of a house, with the owners upstairs. The view over the bay was lovely as well!"

"Excellent hostess Lili - a wonderful Soul. The breakfasts provided delicious. The Davis Brook Retreat such a serene place for rejuvenation. We spent majority of our time on chaise lounges in the back yard listening to the song birds and wind chimes. A wee disappointment was the pool not really heated. Nowhere in website did it say pool not heated. Managed to get into pool once but not for long - rather cold. Did use hot tub once also. Overall a lovely stay. Will go again."

"Small 4 room hotel attached to marina general store in the village of Egmont. Lots of character! Every room has a spectacular view of the channel. Clean comfortable and a decently equipped kitchenette. Friendly staff. A unique stay."

"Our weekend stay at the Back Eddy was filled with fun, local friendliness, nature, adventure and so much more! We arrived by boat so moored in the marina, we loved the dome, it really was camping without having to bring much with us. The bed was comfy and towels, shower coins were provided. The bathhouse a short walk from the dome. We rented a firepit with wood for a sunset fire. Egmont was friendly, would recommend the walk to the rapids during peak time and a stop at the bakery on the way there or back is a must! Definitely plan to go back and do it again soon."

"Nigel was very welcoming and very helpful on things to do. Very nice view from the property of the Ocean. The bed was comfortable and clean. Hot tub was very useful."
