"I did not find it right away. There is a sign that says "Eat Drink Stay" on the building on the street. On the sign there's a small circle that says "Motor Lofts". It's half way down the side of that building."
"We enjoyed our stay! The breakfast changes daily & is yummy! Clean tables & kitchen area as well as friendly staff. Also liked the pool! only weather was not cooperating."
"Four things could make it better.
1.I could not sleep in the bed because I could not get into it - way too high and I'm not a short person.
2. Have sheets in the sofa bed. I had to sleep with no covers or anything the first night.
3. Provide more than one wastebasket.
4. Remote instructions. It took us quite awhile to figure it out and then we had to try to figure out what we did again.

"I have stayed at many hotels in Roanoke and Salem, but I will always stay at Avid from now on. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, bathrooms are immaculate. Very friendly staff. I never have breakfast at hotels but this one is the exception. Excellent."
"The property and rooms were very nice. The only two surprises were, no luggage rack in my room and the breakfast situation. The room was otherwise very nice and spacious. Breakfast was not included; however there was a breakfast service for a charge. The hotel location was very close to the airport and the local mall. Great location overall. "

"Room was clean and updated. Bar/lounge had great spirits and food. Shuttle to Black Dog Salvage was very convenient. Stayed many times, great as always."
"We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights as it was between my two sisters' homes, one in Roanoke and one in Elliston. We liked the spacious rooms with a couch f, microwave, and refridgerator. We loved being across the street from Angelle's. We had dinner one night and brunch another day. My husband could walk to the Food Lion for snacks."
