"Hotel is a little out of the city (~20 minutes walk) and the hotel is designed to cater for business travellers. However, it still makes a good base for tourists visiting Samarkand. The room was clean and modern, bathroom was really nice but the WiFi was a bit hit and miss. Breakfast was buffet style and was fine. The staff on the front desk were helpful and gave really good recommendations on where to eat nearby. I did have some issues as when I arrived the hotel didn't seem to have a record...

"The hotel is nice and at first sight service was good. However, after I'd checked in, staff first tried to force me to take a second room at extra cost and then cancelled my booking before calling the immigration police. Luckily my papers were in order and the police were very professional but it was quite an ordeal.
