Our room was clean and comfortable. Heat & cooling controls were easy to operate. Amenities were very good. It felt like an oasis with private parking right at our door and outdoor seating. Walking around the art center we were surrounded by unique art decor and creative and welcoming artists. The staff were friendly, attentive and recommended local places of interest. We highly recommend a stay here.

Upon arrival, it was unclear where to park and check in. We waited for staff to arrive due to a mix up on arrival date.Not sure where this confusion came from. Room was dated, musty. The shower door was jammed and unable to open. There was nobody on property to contact although there was a person we could call. She was helpful but filling in for regular staff. I don’t feel safe or comfortable in this area. Felt the vibe of an art center could have come across better in an updated room with local art pieces displayed instead of old books and outdated pictures.We were hoping for an artsy, funky vibe but this didn’t hit the mark. Won’t stay here again.

Super cute room!! Very clean and tidy with all the amenities we could need or want. The only negative is that the king size bed was very very firm and could use a topper. Also, the neighborhood around the inn is a little sketchy. The grounds of the inn itself are fun and eclectic. We did enjoy our stay!

Great place to stay overnight

Very affordable, cute and unique stay. Bed was super comfortable and the room was cozy too. Loved the sweet cat outside.

This is definitely a unique place to stay. The host that showed me the property was very nice and the property was so neat. There are artists that have rooms around the property. The room itself is a converted chicken coop. It had all the necessities you could need. Mini split and ceiling fan kept the room cool and there is also a microwave and mini fridge. They have a common area with water, mini milks, apple and orange juice. Frozen breakfast sandwiches and individual cereal bowls for breakfast.

Cute, rustic room - just a bit loud

We stayed for one night at the Inn while visiting family. The Inn was conveniently located, but the neighborhood around it seemed a little bit sketchy. I highly recommend checking in during daylight hours so you have a clear idea of where you will be parking and how to get to your room from the parking area. Sabrina gave me a quick tour when I came to pick up the keys, which was very helpful. The room was clean and cute in a nice log cabin rustic way. It is quite large, and the bathroom is not adjoining the bedroom so you won’t be disturbed if your partner gets up to use the bathroom during the night. We loved the art work and the inlays in the walls. The mini splits worked well keeping the area cool. It did take some searching to find the remote - I expected it to be on the bedside table or maybe the coffee table, but it was on the entry table. When we got back to the room around 9:30, there was a party going on in the courtyard right outside our window, which included a live band. A woman did come up to us as we were unlocking the door to let us know the party would be breaking up soon. They shut down around 10 pm. Around 3am, some people came into the common kitchen area which is right outside the door to this room. They were talking and opening and closing the refrigerator for 5-10 minutes. It was enough to wake both of us up. I would give it another shot if I come back on my own. Be sure to check out the shops - lots of interesting art and craftwork.

Omg i absolutely loved this place and plan on staying here anytime I am in San Angelo. I was in the Ponderosa room and it was so cool! Such a neat place and the owners and property manager were super nice.

Lovely but confusing

We had a lovely stay, although it was difficult to find where to check in (we still don’t know how one would do that) and breakfast options were limited/‘microwave-your-own’ in a separate kitchen area. But, the staff were wonderful and made our anniversary stay special.

Just a Girls get away...

Myself my sister and mom went to San Angelo for the weekend and decided to stay here. This was a very awesome place to stay it was very quiet and peaceful. We will definitely come and stay again. Very highly recommended.

I stayed at the Inn at the Art Center at the Chicken Farm because I was driving from San Francisco, CA to Austin, TX. It was such a treat, it's like staying at an artists' community. The vibe was friendly and creative. Just be mindful that this is not a hotel and is more like a Bed & Breakfast, so adjust your expectations appropriately. They provide you with everything that you need and Sabrina's there to facilitate your stay. There's nice common areas, the restaurant - Silo - is chef driven, and there's boundless art and artists in about 16 or so studios in the grounds. It was definitely a fun and unique stay.
