"We couldn’t say enough about our stay! The grounds were beautiful, the rooms were very clean with a great Italian flare. There is lots of history to the property that we enjoyed. We loved our wine tour, and Thomas was extremely knowledgable and friendly throughout our experience. The resort was quiet and peaceful, with only a 20minute taxi to Florence we were still able to explore the nearby city. The front desk was extremely helpful and every worker went above and beyond. "We arrived hoping for a simple rest before an early flight, but the experience was disappointing. The front desk refused early check-in, which set the tone. Our room’s AC didn’t work, and there was no phone in the room, so we had to go down to the lobby to report it—twice—before anything was done. We were finally moved to a different room around midnight. With a 4:00 am airport departure, we barely slept. For the price, basic comforts and responsive service should be a given. Would not stay here...

"Arriving at this villa was breathtaking. The immaculate gardens and beautiful structure gave a Tuscan villa feel while still being close enough by bus to the city centre. We booked a family room for 2 adults and 3 kids which was larger than expected and very comfortable, especially the bed. It had a big balcony where we could see the gardens and sunset which created a great memory. "ALERT! Manager will try to deny this review as he said to us when leaving - THE POOL. Nice view and pool but we had to get our own towels from a bag. We had to clean chairs off of food/cigs & towels after waiting patiently for help. The one pool employee was never proactive. Also BEWARE, the hotel rents out the pool to outside parties so you may be left without anywhere to sit or get service which happened to us on July 21st. THE ROOM, is in high need of renovations. Dirty, bugs, ants...

"Laid back, luxurious feel to this hotel, gorgeous pool area, in tranquil grounds with birdsong, scent of flowers, and unassuming, carefully attentive staff. Delicious unhurried buffet breakfast. 15 minutes by minibus into central Florence. Best of both worlds. We spent 4 nights here."
