"Doppelzimmer Recht klein aber guter Zustand. Frühstück okay, guter Cappuccino. Parkplatz im Hof mit Schranke, einige Tische im Hof unter Orangen- und Zitronenbäumen. Recht laut da die Hauptstraße gut zu hören ist. Kathedrale 5 Minuten zu Fuß. Eingang Pompei 10 Minuten. Viele Lokale. Einkaufszentrum 1,2 km."

"The room was old and there were ants on the furniture when I went in. The staff did not help with luggage which was difficult up steps. The shower was not the cleanest. There was a staff member who helped us back out the car onto the busy road which was nice. The breakfast was great. "

"The hotel was lovely, very pretty surroundings which are well kept. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The breakfast was nice, a good selection for everyone including pastries, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, bacon, eggs, cheeses and meats. We didn't eat dinner so can't comment on it but the menus looked nice. The pool area was nice with views of versuvius. The pool isn't heated so be warned, it's cold! "The Grand Hotel is a mediocre, apparently 5*, hotel. I have stayed in 3* hotels which have been much better. In Naples, Parkers Hotel is far superior. The ‘superior’ room whilst reasonably spacious was drab and had no facility for making hot drinks. It was located on the side of the hotel and the balcony overlooked what seemed to be a massive taxi rank. The receptionist said she had upgraded us from a Classic room although we had actually paid for and reserved a Superior room on Expedia. The...

"Very poor service in restaurant, meat was overcooked. However the worst was the lack of service even factoring in Italian culture that a meal is to be enjoyed not rushed. Their service just seemed oblivious to their responsibilities."
