Water from tap in bathroom was not much more than a trickle, but the shower was ok. Just one overhead light in room so it was difficult to read in bed and the liggt switch was by the door so i had to get out if bed to switch it off

Spent the night after my flight and before taking the shuttle to Arenal. Daniel and his sweet wife were great!!! They are wonderful people, helped me with everything I needed and everything was from their hearts! The rooms are basic but clean, nice little garden. It is about 15-20 minutes away from the airport so you would hear every plane very loud but you would hear the same from any other hotel in that area.

The breakfast was buffet Costa Rican. Nice. The place is very clean and quite basic. Good for an economical night near the airport. Also free shuttle to and from.

Pickup from airport from a late flight was super helpful, property was as described and breakfast was great. Bit noisy due to the nearby road and airplanes taking off, but we slept reasonably well after the long travel day. Staff was lovely to deal with; would stay here again.

The room was very clean and car was parked in secure area inside gate. Shuttle service worked great and staff was very helpful. Is on a side street and arriving at night some houses in neighborhood looked run down, but once at destination place felt safe and clean.

Owner and staff were very nice and hands-on. Room and bathroom were nice, but with minimal hot water. Blistering winds first night caused branches from a tree to scratch and bang the roof all night long - no sleep. Owner cut branches next day. Problem solved. The pool is not what is depicted in pictures. It’s an ugly mess of an eye soar. Suggestion - get rid of the whole thing and put in flowering plants. Ride to airport included and appreciated.

Room was nothing fancy, but what is expected for the price. Our flight was delayed for 4 hours but the owner had no problem picking us up at the airport at 4:30 AM.

Clean, well prepped room and bathroom. Lovely garden area. Great breakfast prepared early to accommodate our early flight. Hostess was informative and very nice. The area looks a bit dodgy but don't let that discourage a stay at this affordable but pleasant, relaxing hotel.

A small hotel, this is run by a nice couple who focus on making sure their guests' needs are met. It is close to the SJO airport & provides pickups as well as shuttles to SJO. This morning we needed to leave before the scheduled breakfast time and they made sure to provide the full breakfast for us early. Since they couldn't provide a shuttle due to their work, Daniel arranged a ride for us, paying the car himself. Someone remarked there is no AC, but there are lots of fans and AC wasn't needed when we were there. There's a good Columbian restaurant a short walk away. We slept well both nights there & birds were active in the garden in the morning. Has a pleasant garden breakfast nook.

We loved this place! The staff were so friendly and helpful! The best part really, our flight was 2 hours late, coming in at 2am, we were very tired, and getting the shuttle for pick up with clear videos on where to meet etc was helpful, and the staff helped with luggage all the way into the room. Breakfast was good and bed comfortable. We will use this service again!

Stayed here after arriving in the evening. Daniel did an excellent job of picking us up at the airport. Rooms were very clean, and although there's no AC, the fan was all we needed to be comfortable. Slept like a log, mattress is on the thin side but comfortable. Breakfast was great- good coffee, tea, rice and beans, eggs, chorizo, cereal, toast in a cool garden nook. If you need western luxury, stay at Hilton, but this was exactly what we wanted.

Elizabeth at the front desk was so helpful and cheerful to make my short stay wonderful. Transportation to the airport was included. Great recommendations including a delightful Colombian restaurant around the corner with well made typical meals.
