The rooms were clean and the staff extremely helpful but I was disappointed in the fact that there was no direct access to the beach, you literally had to walk 1/2 mile and than approximately 2 blocks on the sand to get to the part of the beach that is serviced by the hotel & what I mean by service is basically towels, chair & water. There was no bathroom access or drinks made available. I also want to mention when asked about the breakfast buffet,that was $24.99, if they made omelets they said they can accommodate as long as before 10am which I was surprised. They also said that I couldn’t order off the menu for breakfast but meanwhile they were advertising the bagel & cream cheese option. Very disappointed.

they don’t mention you have to pay for beach access $50 daily that includes WiFi and pool access. they mention parking is free but charges $23 a day even though you bought a package bundle with flights room and rental. we also didn’t want to room to be cleaned but we weren’t offered any fresh towels, clean sheet and no trash bags and no where to put dirty laundry. They hold $350 deposit that Expedia doesn’t tell you about till you arrive but most likely you’ll be paying $250 for sure outta pocket if you’re staying at least 3 nights.

At booking our patio door wouldn’t lock so maintenance came in and did something and it again stopped locking by day 2. Mold around bottom of in room refrigerator, random hairs left behind as well as drywall/ cracks in walls poorly repaired. Could be cleaner and updated considering the brand. Mandatory amenity fee you have to use or will be charged anyway. Staff polite and helpful.

The hotel was pretty nice and well kept. The rooftop bar and pool were so pretty at night! The breakfast in the morning and the pool chair situation was a little unclear, so for anyone wanting to stay here… BREAKFAST IS IN THE BAR ON THE ROOFTOP!!! For beach access and chairs, DO NOT PAY ANYONE ON THE BEACH! The hotel makes it free for you!!!!! There is a small visual map explaining where to go on the beach for chairs and umbrellas in the lobby at the desk!!!

My husband and I were less than pleased staying here. The photos advertised on Expedia give a false view into the stay. There is no dresser or closet so our 6 day stay was spent out of our suitcases. Our “CITY” view was actually the drive through parking lot of Burger King making the small balcony unsightly and pretty useless. Our first trip to the rooftop pool and pool bar was also met with no staff at the bar while we waited there for over 15 minutes. Also not opening for drinks til after 11am. If trying to enjoy a morning drink while at the pool before that time, bring your own or you’ll be parched. Our second night there, the building lost power-all surrounding building were lit with power-but no generator came on. Thankfully it only lasted 30 minutes but this happened twice during our stay! Our only real positive review to leave was the building air conditioning, that was great! MARRIOTT, you have to do better!!! This was not a cheap for a disappointing stay!

Overall, I had a good stay at the AC Hotel. The location was excellent, the rooms were clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative part of my experience was the mandatory $25 daily destination fee. I didn’t like that it was charged whether I wanted to use the included benefits or not. It felt like a hidden mandatory charge rather than an optional service, and guests should have the choice to opt in or out. I think the hotel should be more transparent about this fee during the booking process.
