Excellent hotel and nice staff but in a very remote location. Important to have a car or it would be difficult to leave the hotel.

Nice clean rooms - comfortable bed. Food was very good -pizza especially! Breakfast was good and staff attentive. The gardens were full of birds , squirrels etc and the gardens stretched down to the sea. Lovely swimming pool. -would highly recommend

My wife and I spent our 25th wedding anniversary vacation here in January. We had the most wonderful relaxing week possible. We flew from London to Madrid for a couple of days then on to San Jose and finally Sansa Air to Tambor. Weather was incredible and Tango Mar hotel was divine. Great place to stay for a few nights and chill. Enjoy the great, clean hotel and nice pool with the shaded areas that you need in this climate. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The food and drinks are superb and I would try anything on the menu with complete confidence. Prices are sensible and compare very favourably with other hotels in Costa Rica. I hope we can visit again!

Its not as luxurious as it says . The rooms are very dark and dated , need extra touches such as slipper and dressing gowns , high quality toiletries. The bed is way to high , Im 165cm tall but still needed a step too get up. No TV in the room. It needs to upgrade with the times , i. Im sure other hotels locally are more modern and up to date. Especially as the beach is massively disappointing, its dirty with ocean rubbish not just drift wood but from boats etc . The hotel needs to offer a wow...

The room was implacable and all staff have been extremely friendly, polite and very attentive. The food was varied and very nice every day. Good list of cocktails and the bar staff would also happily give you something that is not on the list or make all the twists you asked for, and they would remember you even though the resort was very busy. Didn’t use the parking so cannot comment on that. We had a perfect 8 night stay and would very happily return to the resort.

We booked all 3 pods for a 1 night stay on the way back to the airport after touring Costa Rica and all were excellent, privately located with an outdoor kitchen, toilet, shower, balcony and jacuzzi. Although quite remote, they do offer a takeaway delivery service from a local restaurant, and the town is approx 15 minutes away. Important to note that the transparent pod is down a steep windy narrow path with lots of uneven steps, which is quite difficult to walk up and down and a real challenge...

Friendly and well travelled owners, they have some really interesting stories to tell! The place is in a quiet safe area with a river floating nearby that you can swim in. The nature around is beautiful. Ask for recommendations for what to do in the area, the owners are well informed and can help you get organized. I personally really enjoyed the horseback riding tour.

Lovely location and property. Line caught tuna for supper was delicious. Lovely breakfast with great choice including gluten free bread.
