The check in process was difficult. There was no check in desk in the lobby. We had to go to the restaurant, produce our Expedia confirmation number, then the person was on the phone with someone for 5 or 6 minutes before acknowledging our reservation for two nights. And as best we could tell, we were the only people staying at this hotel-I would have thought they would have been expecting us. We felt a bit insecure while sleeping as our room did not have any sort of inside secondary lock, and the balcony sliding door would not lock. There was no hot water. The toilet leaked water on to the floor. Only one of our two lavatories worked. On the plus side, the hotel is right on the beach, and it was very quiet at night. Breakfast each morning and the one lunch we had there was good. Staff did not speak any English, (not unexpected), so it is a little more challenging if you are not a Spanish speaker.
