"For context, we stayed here as part of our honeymoon in Portugal, and it was by far the best place we stayed. The design of the hotel was beautiful. Everywhere you looked, there were fantastic views of the Douro River and surrounding hills framed by massive windows. The facilities were amazing. "This hotel exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for a break with some relaxation time plus visiting Porto this hotel is ideal. A short walk to the train station and in Porto within 20 minutes plus a lovely beachfront location. Highly recommended"

"They didn’t honor the price Expedia offered me. I made a reservation with a guaranteed rate, and Expedia confirmed that this was the amount I would be charged upon arrival. "My family’s holiday at Hilton Gaia was seriously affected by the hotel’s handling of payments. Despite my stay being fully prepaid, as validated at check-in, my card was charged multiple times for significant amounts without my authorization or any prior information.
