I travelled in a group of 7, including 2 young children. The rooms were lovely, our overlooked the beach and the pool. Rooms have a mini bar which is reasonable priced. Jorge in the restaurant was outstanding, he gave excellent food and wine recommendations and he was great with my young children (some thing other hotels struggle with). When my daughter would only eat a cheese sandwich, without hesitation he made it happen, his juggling skills had her amazed, she still talks of the magician...

We were treat to a glass of port in the lounge (hall of mirrors) and then shown to our room with explanations of where all the facilities were located and how things worked in the room. The hotel has a spectacular position overlooking the river and historical centre of Porto. Service was excellent and not overbearing. Breakfast and dining generally were high quality. The outside pool area is lovely. You can walk down to the river direct from the hotel, where there are a lot of bars and restaurants - it is however quite a steep path, so perhaps not suitable for all. Thoroughly recommended.

We stayed in a gorgeous room (suite) for four nights. It had a huge sitting area and a lovely big balcony with a great view. It wasn’t far from the old town and was a really nice walk along the river to get to everywhere. Great breakfasts, stunning rooftop bar, and a nice spa for a little wind down time too. Particularly loved the free items from the mini bar and the birthday cake, they gave my sister. Highly recommend.

This is the perfect hotel in the perfect location, everything worth seeing is a brief walking distance away and the Trindade train station is a short walk away to make the airport to hotel journey (and vice versa) very easy.
