"It is an old hotel but has been updated and the rooms are very clean. Beds are very comfortable and rooms were nice and cold!! (It's very hot out!!). Breakfast was good every morning. Staff was very nice and helpful. Swimming pool and hot tub worked well and was clean as could be with all the people and smoking area in pool/bar. Smoking area right outside your rooms is a major plus for this smoker. Two restaurants attached to hotel with good food and drinks. Small coffee pot and coffee in room, mini fridge and microwave. We stayed in the family room - plenty of room except only 1 bathroom, but toilet and shower behind closed door and vanity/sink separate. Beach was right across the street, and we just walked over to it; rented chairs and umbrella - life was good. I would definitely stay here again."

"Overall, we had a very good stay! The property was nice and clean, the staff was excellent, friendly, and helpful, and the location was very convenient and close to the places we wanted to visit in Galveston. The price was also very reasonable for the area. The only issue we had was with our room keys. They repeatedly stopped working, and we had to go back downstairs several times to have them reset, which was a little frustrating. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and had a good experience overall. I would definitely consider staying here again!"

"The property is lovely, and down away from all the heavy traffic if sea wall, which is nice and still within an easy drive to everything. The beach access is great. I was only disappointed because I was told it would be beachfront beach view from my room and it wasn’t. It was a partial(side view)The staff mentioned that the one bedrooms are always a partial view, but when you book on other sites, it doesn’t give those specific details. They stated if I had booked on the website for the property I would’ve seen that or if I had called in advance. They apologized. Otherwise, we had a great time, Iwe booked the villa, which gives you a kitchen stocked with dishes, silverware, etc., and a washer and dryer access between the two rooms that share a secure door. We would definitely book again here. It is not the newest place so depending on your expectations it may not be as great for all; but we loved it."
