Relaxing vacation

Very comfortable with an almost 2 year old. Great staff that moved us closer to the beach access after hearing we were traveling with a little one. The place is still under repair but they understand about the small touches.

Shell island beach is going through a renovation (I suppose due to the devastation of the hurricane a few years back). Elevators, pool and tennis courts are not available, but the unit was very clean and well appointed. Management communicated with us several times to let us know of the condition of the amenities etc. Overall, we had a positive experience.

Es ist wirklich eine schöne Anlage. Leider war der Pool noch im Bau. Das hätten wir gern vorher gewusst aber insgesamt dennoch sehr schön.

Great place to stay

We had a wonderful time. The condo was very clean and comfortable with plenty of space. The staff was excellent. I only rated the condition of the property lower because it is still renovating from the hurricane.

We already knew the pool and elevators were not available yet and area was still under construction. But we had a wonderful stay. The beach is so close by and we could cook in room if we wanted. I would definitely return here!

Sanibel Heaven near Lighthouse Beach

These rooms are all beautifully redone after the storm damage they have had the past few years. Everything is brand new. You should be aware that you have to climb stairs as their elevators were not yet working. The new pool and the hot tub have not been completed yet. There is a full size washer and dryer in the unit! I was pleasantly surprised to find two Tommy Bahama beach chairs in the unit also for your day on the sand! I will definitely go back to this resort!

Shell island is doing a lovely job of recovery from the hurricane. The condo was perfect and the grounds are coming along beautifully. We enjoyed the screened in porch, easy parking, having 2 full bathrooms, having direct beach access with a cute little shell washing station, and how friendly the staff was at the main office. They provided us with beach towels, a beach umbrella, and 2 beach chairs. You also get bike rentals included wich they delivered to the condo for only $10. Down the street there are 3 cute beach shops, a bagel/deli shop, Wickies Restaurant which made a great spicy margarita, and a super cute ice cream shop that has the most ridiculous concoctions of desserts, plus coffee and baked goods. Unfortunately the pool area was still not open and under a lot of construction. We had a direct view of it in building 8, but just past you can see the ocean and that totally made up for it. The only suggestions I will make are, while there is every kitchen gadget you could need like a blender, juicer, wine glasses, a regular coffee pot plus a kuerig, etc- there is no salt and pepper etc, and there's nothing to brings drinks or pack food for the beach or put away leftovers in the fridge like plastic containers. I would recommend bringing water bottles, zip lock bags or containers, plastic wrap, seasonings, or whatever you think you'll need for things like that. We very much enjoyed our stay and were incredibly bummed to have to leave!

Spacious 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment with a nice kitchen and comfortable living room right by the beach. We are grateful to enjoy a whole week here. Staff was very accommodating of our needs.

They are still rebuilding from the storms so none of the outdoor amenities were open yet. We were informed of this when we booked.The condo was very clean & had everything we needed. I would definitely stay there again!

We stayed for 6 days at the beginning of March. The weather was pretty nice, with a few cool mornings. Easy access to the beach. Still a lot of construction noise going on , but that was expected. We had to switch units for our last day/night which was inconvenient due to 3rd party overbooking, but were notified of that prior to our stay. Both units we stayed in were very nice and very clean.
