The room was clean and the location was central BUT be aware there is no staff. No front desk no personnel whatsoever. They call it “ invisible service”. There are numbers you can call if you need anything, but it lacks human hospitality.

I would rate the overall stay a 3.5. Check in was confusing - they were great communicators via text, but they check in email could have been clearer. How to actually get the keypad to turn on, how to make sure your room gets locked, once you open it via keypad you must use the deadbolt, or clear it out to lock it. Had I not had trouble using the keypad to get in and sent a text, I would have never know it didn't automatically shut. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and amenities were lovely. The main reason for the average rating is that the tavern below our room blasted music and it was like a concert in our room. We let it go upon arrival because it was 6 and early. By 8:30 we texted and they person felt bad but said it was hard to control what is going on around them hotel, but really you built rooms on top of a tavern so noise should have been a factor when insulating the rooms. We ended up getting ear plugs at the local CVS and at 9:30 we got a text that they called and asked them to turn it down. The music was not loud anymore, but you could hear them cleaning up till about 9:45 or so. The person I was texting with was very nice and felt bad about the situation, but I personally would recommend staying there, or at least in a room on that side of the hotel. Had the noise not been such an issue, I would have given them at 5.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Room wasn’t cleaned the second day. We had only 2 bottles of water in our room for the entire stay inspite of me texting them and asking them! Zero response. Location is great but what one gets for what you pay is not great. Towels were not totally fluffy white and clean more like a gray tone (white towels).

The room was nice and clean. One of the skylights could not be closed so it was too bright in the morning. It was odd that all the legs of the chase on the right bed were loose and all the faucet handles in the sink and shower were also loose. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

The location is great. The spot for our car was an added plus. Room was nicely clean but there was a boxed female product left in the closet from last guest when we arrived. The skylights were very nice but one was broken. However waking up to hear and see the rain hitting the sky light was nice. Rooms were spacious and overall I did like the Inn. The lounge with amenities and snacks was a very nice touch. Our room mini coffee/bar was nice. Loved having the little refrigerator, that definitely was a plus. The check in was a bit worrisome. Mostly my fault I admit. I did not answer the call from the INN to reconfirm. The next day I did call back but spoke to no one so left a text message to reconfirm. I also sent two messages through Expedia and the Winston site itself. I kept waiting to get the access code. I got no call back. So I'd suggest if a quest doesn't know to call back, have a representative leave a detailed message to prompt a call back (message was a bit vague only asking to reconfirm reservation ) Also responses to messages, texts or a second phone call would be helpful. That was the hugest issue I had. I also know I share blame in it for not being able to answer the phone call when they first called. Would I stay there again, yes possibly. I now know the rules of the invisible check in/no front desk-so I'm sure it would go much smoother. Having said all that we did get in our room slightly early which earns big points. Amazing, everything was on point. Will definitely come back here again and the room was much bigger than it seemed like in the photos. Overall very satisfied with the stay.

My less than excellent is about checking in. I was not emailed with check in info so stuck outside the door with no one answering the phone. It took too much time and effort to find out how to resolve this. When you don’t have an email for a customer, you should take other actions to eliminate frustrated customers trying to figure what to do.

The room itself was clean. The restroom doesn’t have any ventilation so a warm shower will fog up the entire room. The visual aesthetics were more exciting than other hotels. It’s located right infront of the park. Everything was walking distance. The exterior of the location wasn’t too nice since the nightlife people leave their trace behind. There was easy access parking. The elevators were not working when we arrive but they promptly fixed it when we left. The communication was fast and easy. Check in was easy, access to enter was easy. Interior was beautiful and exciting. I recommend staying on the second floor because we heard everyone walking around all night for the entire stay. I also recommend bringing your own blankets and pillows for comfort, their blankets are simple sheets and it gets cold at night. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Invisible staffing has its ups and downs. Getting in was definitely an understated adventure/challenge but we also happened to check in on a farmer’s market night and naturally the farmer’s market is right in front of the hotel and parking lot. Overall good spot, but not for the tech-unsavvy.

The property itself was nice. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. It was quiet. The thing I didn’t like is there are no on-site staff. No front desk workers. The information from the hotel called it “invisible service.” Here’s an example. The we were unable to connect to the wi-fi. In the check-in information email, it said if there is trouble with the wi-fi, you should call their internet service provider, and they gave the company name and number. So, I called and the technician was asking me questions I didn’t know the answers to, as if I were an employee of the hotel. I texted the number that was provided for general service requests and received a kind response, but no offer of help. “Try connecting again and hopefully that will work.”

It was a clean and quiet place. There is no on site staff. Had to call the call box upon check in. Felt really uncomfortable to say all my personal information out loud including Name, address, phone number and credit card info. Specially I was checking in at night. Everyone can hear.
