"Il Santavenere is definitely a 10/10 experience. From the moment you arrive you are in a true oasis - just what you want from a break by the
sea. The staff are all (and I mean all) friendly, personable and helpful. The rooms are luxurious, including the beds and washrooms, without being overly showy. The views overlooking the
sea are stunning. Maratea itself is definitely a nice little town and Il Santavenere is a hidden gem in Basilicata. We're already planning our next trip back and can't wait...

"Modern, clean hotel with excellent service. Comfortable, large rooms. They have a pool and offer a very good breakfast. They do not serve lunch or dinner but there are several good restaurants close by. If you are coming by train, be aware that the hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the train station along the main road."
