"Really lovely stay. Very nice and professional staff. Also helped out with dietary needs with no problem. I used their service of free guided hikes and had the most amazing day with an incredible hike that I would not have tried to do on my own otherwise. Also really liked to stay here over Ortisei (where I also stayed my last day in the dolomites). Ortisei felt much more crowded with tourists and was not the best contrast to doing the beautiful hikes. So depending on your mood Santa Cristina...

"The place was ok. Clean, older, and Ok. The bathrooms had liquid soap and shampoo in a packet and we only received one of them for 2 people. No face clothes, but that is typical for Europe. The beds were low as there is no box spring. No top sheet, just a duvet cover which stinks, but typical now a days. No elevator. The breakfast was also just ok, maybe a 7 on a 1 to 10 scale. Thet offered minimal fresh fruit, a couple cheeses and runny eggs. There were a few donuts, bread and croissants....

"Away from the centre of the village, surrounded by mountains, we had a lovely view from our balcony of a field with donkeys grazing and a small chapel at the far end of the valley. It is quite a hike from the hotel to the lake. If you’re a hiker, then this is the place for you. The dinner was expensive and mediocre. I do not recommend the half-board plan. Breakfast was okay, very limited choices. They benefit from the high tourist numbers obviously reflected in the limited value for money...
