So the pool, the property, restaurant, bathrooms and the staff were great. Theres free drinking water onsite. I spent a lot of time researching places to stay near Tayrona and this extra information might be of use for you when deciding where is best.
Bohemia is pretty isolated along with the other hostels near it. It's about 2-3k kilometers off the main road, so if you want to buy your own food, go to a pharmacy or take the bus someplace you'll either need to walk 40minutes or pay for a motor taxi. Or you could walk about 40minutes on the sandy beach to towns on either side of the hostel. The neighboring hostels are about a 10minute walk.
Organized tours are roughly $100 a person to hike Tayrona. Or you could take a motor taxi to the main road then a bus and an entrance fee.
The Indigeous village tour was really interesting, it's pretty remote tucked away in the sierra nevada mountains.
Breakfast is not free and starts at about $6 a meal or could be less if you order a la cart.
2 of my family members got an upset stomach I'm not sure if it was from the salads, ice or another random thing. Lunch and dinner are at least $10 a meal.
They have rotating evening activities to build community like kareokee, volleyball, bingo, name that tune, swimming. Also people can easily coordinate outings to music events and dance parties at other hostels.
We slept great and the hostel was peaceful but for a family of 5 it was remote to get food and expensive to eat at the restaurant.
