"Clean, amenities, location and views. Unable to take a "normal" shower: water was either scalding hot or ice cold. My son was able to get semi-appropriate water temp in one shower with much "finaggling" he said."

"Absolutely amazing 8th floor and we could see it all excellent place. Expensive to do activities at the resort the waterpark and kayaks should be included with the stay everything else was expected to rent. "

"Very clean. Had everything we needed. Washer and dryer not in unit. Its in the hall shared by others. Unit is 2 minute walk to the beach. You cant see the ocean from the unit. The property is very nice. 2 pools the heated one is very warm. Used the sauna was amazing. Location is perfect very private. Definitely will go back. "

"The property is gorgeous, however, they could give you more details than they do. For instance, we opened the room with no instruction, no directories, no anything. The electrical outlets in the kitchen mostly did not work. I tried to use the Keurig and ran it through a few times and it was the most disgusting thing I have seen. Thank goodness, I did bring my own Keurig.. If you like a really really hard bed than you would love this one. I could hardly sleep and when I did get up my back was...

"Just needed more bath towels and please clean the the main sliding glass door to balcony, so hard to open and close. Beautifully updated. Conveniently located. Definitely recommend this property. Would definitely stay here again. "

"walls needed to be painted. Dirt spots on ceiling, etc. toilet bowl wasn't clean. shower o-ring came out of nozzle and thus falling apart. TV in living room had a terrible picture. Contrast and color. Pillows were hard as brick."

"Emerald Isle is currently under construction as of March 2026. There is only one active elevator which creates long wait times. The unit was good, bit many outlets were not working. Property management moved us to a new resort (Portofino Island), which was great. I will book there instead next time."

"It was a well needed get away!! The only bad thing was we had to leave!!! The El Matador was clean! The people who worked there were more than friendly and helpful!!! The beach and pools were wonderful !!! Can’t wait to go again next year!"

"Our stay was great! The area feels very laid-back and relaxed. Traffic during the 4th of July was a bit heavy, so we had to wait at times, but overall it wasn’t too bad. There are lots of family activities to do in the area. The facility itself was excellent—the kids loved the pool, and the view from the balcony was beautiful."
