Great staff, brekkie and views!

High quality hotel and staff. In particular the staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was superb every day. The rooms are a little dated but perfectly comfortable; and the view from the rooftop is brilliant.

Great location ! Excellent Staff ! Great Service

This was our first visit to Santiago. The service, friendliness and willingness to be of help at the W was outstanding. Food was excellent. Our upgraded room and its views was Amazing. The property is showing its age a little and could use a makeover and new, less soft mattresses. The location to shopping and restaurants is perfect. We would definitely stay again !

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room however had some shortcomings - no proper reading lights by the bed, and aircon was poor and difficult to adjust, resulting in the room being a little stuffy at times. Breakfast on the Sunday morning was chaotic - we had to sit in an overflow area.

ALERT: I have never seen anything like this before

We were with a group of friends as a personal trip. Me and my husband stayed at W hotel and my friends in another hotel. We decided to make a reservation for the restaurant (Karai) of the hotel before our departure. Due to the size of the group, they informed that we would need to choose the menu in advance as a “pre order menu” but they never informed something about the consequences of cancelling the reservation or in case of “no-show”. Before dinner, we were at the bar of the W hotel in the roof top, we were drinking and we were enjoying a lot. Since part of the group (me and my husb included) had a flight back to Brazil, my friends decided not to go the restaurant in the very last minute, so I was trying to manage the desire of different 10 adults since they had agreed to go previously. The restaurant started chasing me during this process then I informed them that they changed theirs minds about going to Karai. The person started saying that all the meals were prepared and waiting for us (quite weird since it is Japanese/Asian cuisine – does it supposed to be made fresh, right?) and I apologized saying that unfortunately they would not go. The restaurant kept sending messages and calling me – even during the time I was at the airport waiting for my flight back. I decided to no answer any of the messages anymore since there was nothing I could do at that stage.... Continue

We loved the location. All of the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Emilio at the front desk demonstrated an exceptional level of professionalism, care, and attentiveness. He went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We also want to thank the concierge team, especially Anna and Robert (or the gentleman with the longer hair—we unfortunately don’t remember his name). He was also very helpful and made a positive impression on us.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities

Checked into a room with no sheer curtains, fully exposed to adjacent office block, asked front desk to arrange for curtains to be installed on the unused curtain track, arrived back from full day out, no curtains still, room moved at 9pm on a Saturday night to obviously a last sell room, dreadful. Rooms are tired, dated and dark. Cracked sink, taps don’t work, make up mirror had the electric cord removed so no light (throw it out!). The worst W l have stayed in. No cooling available in the two rooms l stayed in yet my sons stayed in another room and the a/c worked in their room??? Incredibly disappointing and the rooms need some money spent on them to maintain an acceptable standard. Back in Santiago for two nights at the end of the week and l am now staying elsewhere. Bar staff excellent.
