"I’m not one to write reviews, but this hostel is the best I’ve stayed. Marina is so kind and polite. She made sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. Marina also gave me recommendations for my trip to run smooth. I was lucky enough to have a whole room to myself. The rooms are well equipped and clean. Please look no further- book this hostel. You will not regret it."

"nice place to stay for a quick solo trip or a layover- the guy at the front office was really nice and help my luggage for me before and after checkout and also spent 30-45min explaining to me all the things to see and do while in santorini as well as the route to get to places needed."

"Everything was good, except that you are far from the main cities. One should rent a car. Ask the receptionist, as they have a good deal with rental car companies."
"The hotel’s biggest advantage is its location. It sits right along the scenic hiking trail between Imerovigli and Oia, making it an excellent base for exploring Santorini on foot. There is a market nearby, several very good restaurants within walking distance, and the Imerovigli bus stop is only about a 5-minute walk away.
One unique feature of the property is that you can enjoy views of both sides of the island. From the back courtyard, you can see the east side, while the front terrace offers views toward the west side. The rooms are spacious, and there is a small pool area where guests can relax.
That said, the hotel feels much older and more outdated than the photos suggest. The furnishings and amenities could use updating. There is no iron in the room, the kettle is plastic, and the TV is not a smart TV, so guests are limited to local channels. While most people don’t come to Santorini to watch television, having access to streaming services or YouTube in the evenings would have been a nice touch.
Another disappointment was the pool terrace loungers. Although they are located within the hotel, guests are required to purchase food or drinks to use them.
Overall, this is a very average hotel. The location is excellent and convenient, but the property itself does not quite live up to the expectations set by its photos."
"We had an enjoyable stay at El Greco. The property is beautiful and the staff very helpful. The breakfast buffet has good vegetarian options. The hotel helped us make arrangements for the airport transfers which was convenient. Overall a very good stay."
"Rocabella was awesome. From the staff to the breakfast, to the room and stunning views, we would definitely stay here again. Nick at the front desk and Vassilika in the restaurant were standout staff members who provided excellent service. We appreciated the special touches for our honeymoon stay."
"While the overall stay was good, I cannot give a full 5 stars due to a few reasons.
Firstly, the staff was very friendly, including the manager Sophia. The view from our honeymoon suite was beautiful and exactly like the pictures online. However, there were a few important issues that made the stay less enjoyable.
• Cost of Taxi Transfers / Hidden Costs
I highly recommend not booking airport transportation through the hotel. An Uber ended up being significantly cheaper than what we were charged for a simple 12-minute drive. It came to almost $70 CAD, which is unreasonable for such a short trip.
On our way back to the airport after checkout, Grand View arranged another ride for us through an external company since we had an early flight. The driver arrived 10 minutes late and then demanded cash payment on the spot. Since it was our last day in Europe, we did not have enough cash left. He then made us walk to an ATM, where we had to pay an additional $20 in ATM fees on top of the already expensive ride.
After bringing this concern to Grand View’s attention, I was simply told they were unaware cash was required and then wished a safe flight, which felt dismissive considering the situation.
• Ants in the Room
While the room itself was generally clean, we noticed a large number of ants beside the bed (photo attached). After informing management, the area was cleaned and sprayed, but the ants returned again the following morning. The room was cleaned a second time, and thank"
"The staff at this hotel/resort were exceptional and did everything to make your stay outstanding. The property is in the perfect location with the perfect view. If I had one criticism it would be that the bed is very hard, but everyone has their own preference. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to avoid the crowds of Fira and Oia."
"L'hôtel idéal pour profiter de Santorin ! La vue est tellement magnifique que ça semble irréel ! Juste bien placé pour passer facilement du calme à l'action. Staff hyper accueillant et disponible. Déjeuner délicieux, soigné et copieux. Pas besoin de payer pour une chanbre avec vue étant donné l'accès facile au balcon-lounge, à la section piscine et à des points de vue. Un hôtel de rêve !"
Hostels are a great way to stay for a good value, so you can save your money for going out. You can check out this destination's cultural highlights, such as its churches, and the sunsets create an appealing natural setting.
