"The location in Varenna is fantastic. Next to a town square, right on the water with fabulous views. It is the hotel staff that make it exceptional. They are so kind, welcoming and helpful. "Great communications ahead of our stay, and every member of staff was friendly and helpful. I really cannot compliment them highly enough. We were even shown into the breakfast room early on our last day and were able to take a packed breakfast for our journey. The breakfast was varied, and the restaurant was excellent in the evenings. The service and food were always excellent. The setting is perfect, right on the lake. The parking was handy but we didn't need our car during our stay - it's only a short walk to the pier, where you can catch the ferry a few times a day. Varenna is only 5 minutes away by train and has even more ferry options. Our room (number 2) was maybe a little small but we only used it as a base for few days, so that wasn't an issue. However the walls are very thin, so I hope your neighbours are quieter than ours. We would have no hesitation in staying here again in the future (but in a different room). Thank you to everyone for making our stay so enjoyable."

"Absolutely loved our stay here in Dervio easily the best and cleanest place we stayed during our tour of Northern Italy. The B&B had a great authentic Italian feel to it, full of character and charm rather than feeling overly modern or generic. Location was perfect too, very easy to find, only a short walk from the train station, and then only a few minutes down to the waterfront and lake. Ideal base for exploring the area. The owner was brilliant and made us feel welcome straight away. We were given a welcome pack with maps, recommendations, and the best local places to visit/eat which was a really nice personal touch and made the trip even better. Couldn’t fault the place at all spotless, comfortable, and genuinely felt like a proper Italian stay. Would 100% recommend to anyone visiting Lake Como/Dervio area!"
