Absolutely amazing place -- so much more than expected. Staff were extremely friendly and service was second to none (bringing breakfast to the room etc, and it was delicious). The villa was huge, as was the pool, and absolutely beautifully done. nothing quite like waking up with a pool at the end of your bed in the sunshine ! The hotel's shuttle/free taxi to Sanur was great, available whenever needed and unlike some hotels it ran until 11pm giving plenty of time to have dinner and drinks out.

Wow!! What an incredible villla! We arrived in sanur after 6 nights in Ubud. We were warmly welcomed with an ice cold drink and tapas, then taken to the villa which blew our minds. We had two very relaxing and enjoyable weeks at the Mahapala. The set up of a small number of private villas with a central pool, restaurant and gym means the property always feels quiet and relaxed and we hardly ever saw anyone using the main pool. Tanah Gajah was by far the most relaxing vacation my wife and I have ever had. From our villa with infiti pool looking on to the rice paddies to the private walled accomodation, the extensive beautifully designed gardens, wonderful food by chef Dean, everything superb! Staff couldn’t do enough and everyone, from ground staff to housekeeping to management should be proud of your customer services, a truly fantastic experience, my wife and I can’t wait to come back.

Just stayed here for 4x nights, Villa was nice and private and very quiet. Communications is done over WhatsApp which is convenient but someone is at reception if you don’t have WhatsApp. Breakfast was nice with a few choices, private pool was nice and clean, free transport to the square twice per day is also good although taxis are not too expensive. The square and beach is around a 20 minute walk away, there are some local convenience shops near by. Would certainly stay here again!
