This place is a new found little slice of heaven for my husband and I. We found the place soooo relaxing and in the perfect location. The beach here is private. Even though there were people who ignored the signs, it was still way less crowded than Nokomis Public Beach. We had a beachside efficiency closest to the beach (#17), literally steps away from touching the sand. The property managers are so warm and friendly and always greeted us with a smile when they were working around the property. While the property is old, our room was very modernly appointed with nice appliances, updated bathroom, flooring, and furniture. They take good care of this little gem! Lastly, the sunsets here are breathtaking if you appreciate that kind of thing (how can you not??) We will DEFINITELY be back here for many visits, I’m sure!

Perfect for just needing a place to sleep! Steps to the beach, good outdoor area to hang out, hammocks, lounge chairs, etc. Walk to two restaurants and a beach grill that has amazing hot dogs! And a drum circle on the beach on Saturday evening into the sunset! Great experience for a solo traveler!

Very nice property that’s right on the beach. The room was clean and cozy. I loved having a full kitchen. The room was a bit tight but nonetheless very comfortable. I didn’t explore Casy Key very much because I stayed at the beach all 3 days. It was private so it wasn’t crowded. It was very relaxing and the ocean was a beautiful turquoise. I highly recommend this hotel. Bring your own umbrella and a chair that’s the one thing that was missing at this property! They did have hammocks and a grass hut with lounge chairs that stayed on the property! It was a wonderful stay and parking included!

Pros: right on the beach, free parking although it's limited on spaces, quiet. Cons: No free toiletries other than bar soap (listing said free toiletries so I expected shampoo/conditioner) no beach towels, bed was way to soft and sunk into the middle, had to go to office to get clean towels but their office hours are very limited so couldn't before they closed. Area not walkable to much for dinner or ice cream

Terrific old school Florida rental rooms/suites on the beach, by anywhere from 0 minutes walk to 1 minute walk. Clean everything. Most rooms rebuilt, redecorated, new courtyard, common area. Very close to state park beach. Terrific beach for guests along entire width of property. Close to a marina. Some rooms are across the street on the bay side. Not redecorated but clean, comfortable, equipped room and kitchen, bedroom, bath 1 minute dead ahead across street on a marina access. Bring your beach equipment. There are BBQ grills. Tiki hut on beach. Beach shower. Friendly staff. After 5 arrive, call them on your way before 5. Quiet at night to my taste. Family friendly hotel and beach but, abuts public beach park, which naturally attracts all ages and noise levels from 9 to dusk. Neither of US found or heard anything that got on our nerves. Even the Saturday park drum fest. Easily Walkable within 15 min or less, through public park parking lot, loaded with beach and marina goers!, to quickymarts and cigar/liquor and bar/restaurant spot. Under 2 miles to state highway stores and restaurants galore. If your expectation is a barrier island beach with all, post built in the 2000s, beach condo units. This is not that. This is easy peasy on the beachy old school relax and blow your mind sunsets, shark teeth hunt Florida, while it lasts.

Room was decent. Basic amenities for a brief stay were provided. I’ve stayed at this property many times in different rooms and have enjoyed it each time. Great location, friendly staff as well.

My stay was awesome when weather cooperated. I would definitely recommend for a quiet relaxing stay. Staff is very friendly too.

This is a great place to stay if you want direct access to the beach, it is literally 50 steps away. The unit we were in was spotless and felt newly remodeled. The staff was great but honestly we never needed them. This was a great place to kick back for a few days.

This place was very nice. The host was 5 star and attended to all our needs. *Our only complaint was not with Beach Retreat, but with Expedia and the way they post room pictures. When you pick the room setup you want, pictures pop up for your review. You think you are looking at the room you are getting, instead its pictures of all the rooms. When we arrived the room, we thought we were getting was not available, and we got a very nice room, but it was not beachside. The next night one was available and the host gave us the room. She actually worked hard to get it cleaned early so we could move right in. The host is actually a 10 star on a 5-star scale. Thank you for an enjoyable stay. Expedia needs to correct this problem if they want us and others to continue to rent through them!

Great experience and great location. Corner unit with oceanfront view and the unit was located on the beach. Great hospitality by the staff and the owners. Very clean the unit and the grounds. Installed a new Tiki hut and added more outside patio tables. Well maintained and close to a lot of attractions and restaurants. The beach was great with white sand, and the resort had a private beach for the patrons. Highly recomend the resort.
