"Nice little Hotel. I normally stay IHG, but the Holiday Inn in Clinton does not allow pets. Booked here, not knowing what I was gonna find, but I was pleasantly surprised!!! I was able to get a room that had a whole separate bedroom from the living area, which is a must when you have a dog, that will bark at the wind. Keeps them away from the front entry and all the noises. TVs could use an upgrade, but the internet was good...if you are a gamer. Would stay here again with no hesitation!!! Oh...

"The water tastes bad. They do at least have a water filter station. Beds were just ok. On a king were four very very flat pillows that were kind of crappy. Made it very difficult to sleep. Breakfast was ok but the coffee was terrible and cold at 10 am. They never made any more past 8am. The coffee maker in the room was cheap and awful. We stayed bc it was by the casino; wouldn’t do that again. For paying $130ish it was not worth it for Clinton Iowa!"

"Staff and room were great. My only concern is the difficulty opening the door from the stairwell to the second floor. The door dragged on the carpet and was extremely hard to push/pull open. In an emergency this could be disastrous. I don’t know about the other doors, but I expect the same problem exists."

"We chose this place as a last minute one night stay. That being the case it was OK. It had almost equal points on the OK and Good side. On the good side, our room looked to be recently renovated. The paint, fixtures, bed, etc all seemed to have been done recently. There were however a few things that were missing, There was an ironing board but no iron, no hair dryer though it was mentioned as an amenity, and a light bulb was missing from the vanity light fixture. "There was mold, rust, nothing was clean at all. Sheets had stains. The sink moved and was dirty. We requested to move due to these issues and were accomodated but found the same maybe slightly cleaner. This made me question why we got a dirtier one first. Seems the owning family lives and works there so I'm sure the only decent rooms are theirs. Breakfast was not worth even offering and not refilled so if you dont come right away you will not get what little they do offer. Waffle maker broken....

"Drive by this motel, don’t even look at it. Even though the room is “cleanish” I don’t think floor in our room was wet mopped. The bottom of my feet were dirty after walking around in the room for a couple of hours. The place is old, the walls are thin so noisy neighbors are irritating. The complementary breakfast was,meh."

"The 1st thing you notice when entering to check in is that the place smelled like cigarette smoke. I guess they still allow smoking in the casino. Fortunately, I couldn't smell it in the room. The room had a mini-fridge that I used for leftovers, but there was no place to reheat them. I had to take them to the front desk to have them heat them up for me in the back. "Very clean, friendly staff and wonderful breakfast. However, if you are a light sleeper the hotel is right next to train tracks and multiple trains went by throughout the night with loud horns and rumbling. I did not sleep well at all."

"The front desk staff answered all my questions and were helpful. The room I stayed in was quiet and clean. It had a no frills vibe. I did like the hand soap they provided. My hands felt soft and clean after using it. Outside the hotel in front it looked like work was being done on other businesses. The outside had a sketchy vibe, but I didn’t experience any issues."

"The staff was super friendly. The room was clean and the property was conveniently located. Lots of stuff to do in the area. One little thing was a bonus to me. The bathroom nightlight. It may be nothing to others but I've never seen this before and I found it useful!"

"The elevator was broken and the room had no air conditioning however staff did not tell us this at check-in. We arrived back to our room at 11:30 PM to find it HOT! There was no one working over night so after repeated phone calls and wondering the front desk to get some help we packed up and left. It was awful!"
