"Beautifully furnished and comfortable condo nestled in a jungle setting overlooking the ocean. Sparkling clean infinity pool, full kitchen, BBQ pit on back patio, excellent service from host and staff. The 5k maintained rock road to get there from main hwy is a bit of a rough drive but well worth it. This was our 5th trip to Costa Rica and we have stayed at many wonderful places- but none as amazing as CanaVida. Only stayed 2 nights- wish we had stayed 2 weeks! "

"We (4 adults) enjoyed our stay very much. Finding this hidden treasure off the main road was a little difficult the first time, but we learned the visual landmarks quickly. We felt VERY secure inside the Suites and it was quiet and relaxing. Located in a neighborhood, we had very pleasant interactions with the local residents and frequented the grocery store nearby. David, the Manager, was WONDERFUL with communication and photos showing us where to park, how to gain entrance and get to our rooms...

"For the price, it’s a great place even though the mattresses and pillows have not been changed in years and linens barely stay in plays. It’s the views and the authentic tico charm that sells the place. Will always come back. "

"This hotel was nice and quiet. We appreciated the Gastro area of dining options that were located next door to the hotel. However, at night there is loud, live music coming from the gastro area. Our room was very small but clean. The staff was very friendly and the property was very clean."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Alta Vista. Our villa was well-equipped and spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable, and there were separate bathrooms (with showers) for each bedroom, which was really convenient. The highlight was the gorgeous sunsets over the Pacific that we watched each evening from our private plunge pool. We grew fond of the brightly colored pair of scarlet macaws living nearby (and frequently flying over us). What could be more "pura vida" than that?"

"The communication was excellent! The cabina was nice and clean! The landscape was beautiful! My only recommendation would be outdoor lights around the area to enjoy the evenings around the pool and the pathways. "
